Description

 

Hydro-blast/Vacuum Technicians perform industrial vacuum work, hydroblasting, lancing, line moleing, and associated labor in outages, shutdowns, turn arounds and general maintenance scopes. The work takes place in advanced manufacturing and power generation facilities throughout the US. This position will require travel throughout the NC., SC., and GA. area. You must live in Charlotte, NC. or a surrounding area that is local. 

  • Must safely perform general labor, as required, including but not limited to shoveling, raking, using pickaxe, using hand and/or power tools, carrying buckets, picking up trash, and wiping surfaces
  • Must understand and use proper personal protective equipment for industrial vacuum and hydro-blast jobs
  • Must identify and properly use vacuum truck equipment and components
  • Must properly setup or assist in setting up vacuum projects
  • Must perform vacuum operations using flex hose and hard pipe
  • Must use best safety practices relative to industrial vacuum work
  • Must operate Safety-T during vacuum operations
  • Must understand and use proper personal protective equipment for hydroblasting jobs
  • Must identify and appropriately use hydroblasting equipment and components
  • Must properly setup or assist in setting up hydroblasting projects
  • Must identify and properly rig anti-withdrawal devices
  • Must use best safety practices relative to hydroblasting
  • Must perform shot gunning, lancing, and line moleing for standard and ultra-high pressure job scopes
  • Must work in confined spaces as required by project
  • Must work from heights greater than four feet wearing fall protection PPE as required by project
Requirements
  • Travel is required, sometimes for long periods, to perform this work.
  • Must have at least 1 year hydro-blasting inside of an industrial manufacturing setting. 
  • Must have valid Driver's License with ability to meet company insurance standards.
Salary Description
$20-$26 DOE
