Your Role 

As a Commercial Car Buyer, you'll be responsible for sourcing and purchasing vehicles for our retail operations. You’ll work closely with store teams and auctions to ensure quality, cost-effective vehicle acquisitions while maintaining compliance with all regulations. 

What You'll Do as a Commercial Car Buyer 

  • Buy whole cars for assigned stores based on retail value and transport costs 
  • Partner with Store Managers and Assistant Managers on pricing and sourcing strategies 
  • Advise stores and update them on car market trends 
  • Collaborate with Marketing on local car-buy campaigns 
  • Manage relationships with auctions, tow companies, and other suppliers 
  • Seek new car sourcing opportunities with charities and partners 
  • Track and meet monthly vehicle purchase projections 
  • Ensure licensing and compliance for stores and vendors 
  • Stay compliant with federal, state, and local laws regarding vehicle purchases 
  • Follow company SOPs and contribute to a culture of safety and stewardship 

What You Bring as a Commercial Car Buyer 

  • Experience purchasing vehicles from auctions, dealers, or tow yards 
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mobile tech tools 
  • Willing to travel within assigned and nearby markets 
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, lift 50 lbs, and stretch as needed 
  • Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license required 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in sales or marketing 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
