The Material Handler is responsible for supplying the production lines with components and materials required to manufacture small electric motors. This role involves picking orders, transporting materials using forklifts and other material-handling equipment, and ensuring accurate inventory movement to support efficient, uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities
- Pick, stage, and deliver materials, parts, and assemblies to production lines according to work orders and production schedules.
- Dependability and strong work ethic.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Verify materials picked against bills of material (BOMs), pick lists, or production orders for accuracy.
- Maintain proper material flow to ensure production lines are continuously supplied
- Perform basic inventory transactions using a warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP system
- Label, scan, and track materials as required.
- Return unused materials to designated storage locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (5S standards).
- Follow all safety procedures, including forklift safety and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.
- Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues to Team Lead.
Basic and Social Skills, Leadership, and Business
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ability to read and understand pick lists, production schedules, and work instructions.

Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Preferred Experience or Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a material handler and/or forklift operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to become forklift certified.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems a plus.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, quality standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical and Work Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work around machinery and moving equipment in a manufacturing setting.
- Use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
