Description

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Digital Solutions group to provide technology and data support for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. Additionally, this person should be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth. The analyst will also assist in the development and enhancement of low-code applications that support project delivery and internal operations. 

Requirements

 

  • Gathers data from a variety of sources including company data, industry and field reports, public information, or purchased sources 
  • Interpret data using analytics, research methodologies, and statistical techniques 
  • Improve, execute, and effectively communicate significant analysis that identify meaningful trends and opportunities across the business 
  • Prepare, analyze, and summarize dashboards and reports in response to projects, business, and operational needs 
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry and business trends through communication with professional organizations, suppliers, customers, competitors, and other informed individuals 
  • Supports various departments with reporting, analytics, and data-drive insights 
  • Assists in the design, development, and testing of low-code applications used for workflow automation, reporting, and project management 
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to translate business needs into low-code tools and dashboards 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned 

Skills and Qualifications:  

  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software 
  • Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization 
  • Ability to collect, organize, and disseminate abundant information accurately 
  • Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations 
  • Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically 
  • Works well independently and as part of a team 
  • Ability to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools 
  • Familiarity with low-code applications platforms 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Management, Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative field  
  • Experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques 
  • Practical experience in statistical analysis (using SAS, Excel) 
  • Ability to present findings in a polished and business-relevant format
