Job Title: Application/Data Intern

Reports To: IT Developer

Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Anticipated projects/work to be completed:

  • Review existing application and data-related workflows across operations
  • Build clear, visual flow diagrams representing production, data, or reporting workflows
  • Attend project meetings with IT

Expected outcomes/key learnings:

  • Introduction to SQL databases and SSRS reporting
  • Practical application of Power BI and data visualization
  • Understanding how technology supports food production and retail sales
  • Experience building SOPs for real-world operations
Requirements

  Required competencies and skills:

  • Basic understanding of computer science, information systems, or data concepts
  • Introductory knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Ability to analyze and understand existing business and technical processes
  • Basic data literacy (ability to interpret tables, reports, and dashboards)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and ability to partner.
  • Enthusiastic and eager to take on new challenges.
  • Strong skills using Microsoft Excel are required. 
  • Proficient in other Microsoft Office programs. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pursuing degree in Computer Science & Information Systems, Data Science & Predictive Analytics, Food Science & Technology

Schedule/Duration of Internship

  • Summer: Mid-May through August, 40 hours per week

F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered.
