We are seeking a bold, strategic, and results-driven Director of Business Development. This role is responsible for shaping and executing sales strategy, leading a multi-level sales organization, and positioning the company as a market leader in the OOH space.
The Director of Business Development will oversee Business Development Managers, Representatives, Associates, Graphic Designers, and the National Sales Team, ensuring strong performance, exceptional client relationships, and a consistently growing pipeline. This role partners cross-functionally to drive innovation, operational alignment, and an outstanding customer experience while identifying new revenue opportunities across traditional and digital OOH platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth across all markets.
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to identify new business opportunities and revenue.
- Identify and develop emerging revenue channels, including digital OOH and programmatic advertising.
- Create, manage and optimize sales forecasts, budgets, rate cards, and performance metrics.
- Lead, mentor, coach a high-performing Business Development, National Sales, and Graphic Design team to consistently exceed revenue targets.
- Build culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen key client relationships while guiding teams in prospecting, negotiating and closing new business.
- Review and approve bulk buys, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Drive CRM implementation, adoption, and utilization while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Collaborate closely with Land Lease, Operations, and Ink to align pricing, inventory availability, and campaign execution.
Require Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and senior sales leadership experience.
- 7-10+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably in out-of-home advertising, media, or related industries.
- Proven success leading and developing a multi-level sales organization.
- Strong understanding of the OOH advertising landscape, market dynamics, and sales cycles.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed aggressive revenue goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to set clear expectations and hold teams accountable for performance and behaviors.
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in radio, television, or outdoor advertising sales and sales management.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, or HubSpot.
- Familiarity with digital OOH and programmatic advertising solutions.
