Bingo Lead

Purpose: The Bingo Lead Staff Member serves as a working lead for bingo and pull-tab operations. This position provides on-shift leadership and operational support while ensuring bingo activities are conducted in compliance with Tribal law, applicable state requirements, and approved internal controls.
The Bingo Lead assists with staff coordination, gaming integrity, cash handling oversight, and customer service while supporting the Tribe’s commitment to fairness, accountability, and community-centered gaming operations.
Essential Functions. An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation:
• On-Shift Leadership
• Serve as the designated lead staff member during assigned bingo sessions
• Support the Gaming Manager with bingo and pull-tab operational oversight as assigned
• Assist with opening and closing bingo sessions in accordance with internal controls
• Monitor game flow, pacing, and adherence to established procedures
• Responsible for upkeep of gaming and POS systems equipment and supplies, as well as maintaining an inventory of supplies necessary for conducting Bingo and pull-tab games
• Address routine operational issues and elevate concerns to Gaming Manager as appropriate
• Staff Support & Training
• Provide guidance and direction to bingo and pull-tab staff during shifts
• Assist with onboarding and training of new bingo staff
• Takes the lead in staff scheduling for all sessions ensuring required staffing and/or coverage during bingo sessions
• Works with gaming staff to secure the objectives of profitability and meaningful employment for a successful Bingo program
• Reinforce compliance expectations, customer service standards, and workplace conduct
• Customer Service & Community Engagement
• Provide professional, respectful, and welcoming service to all patrons
• Respond to patron questions and concerns related to bingo games, payouts, or procedures
• De-escalate concerns in a calm and culturally respectful manner
• Promote a positive gaming experience consistent with Tribal values and community standards
• Recommends to the Gaming Manager and then oversees annual Gaming calendar. The annual calendar includes regular, holiday and special events and involves securing special prizes and, on occasion, special refreshments for gaming customers.
• Cash Handling & Gaming Integrity
• Assist with cash sales, payouts, and verification of winnings
• Support accurate tracking of bingo paper, handheld devices, pull tabs, cash drawers, and session reconciliations
• Monitor bingo games to ensure accuracy, fairness, and integrity
• Responsible for securing bank till and ensuring the nightly deposit is completed, overseeing records management and reconciling session records
• Immediately report discrepancies, irregularities, or compliance concerns to Gaming Manager
• Compliance & Safety
• Ensure bingo and pull-tab activities comply with charitable gaming regulations, internal controls, and applicable State requirements
• Support enforcement of house rules and responsible gaming practices
• Maintain awareness of safety protocols and emergency procedures
• Complete required documentation and incident reports as directed

• Must have knowledge of gaming laws, regulations and a working knowledge of gaming operations

Minimum Qualifications (education, experience, skills):
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in bingo, gaming, cash handling, or customer service
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by bingo schedules
• Must meet eligibility requirements under Tribal employment policies
Preferred Qualifications (education, experience, skills):
• Prior lead or supervisory experience
• Experience working in Tribal government or Tribal enterprise operations
• Familiarity with bingo operations, electronic bingo systems, or charitable gaming
• Ability to successfully pass State gaming test within six months of appointment
• Knowledge of internal controls and compliance practices in a gaming environment
