Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners (“AJCP”) is seeking an Accounting Intern to join the firm’s real estate investments and development accounting team and support its rapid growth across various investment platforms focused on the hospitality, mixed-use, and single-family rental sectors.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Summer Intern will assist in the accurate and timely reporting of financial information for multiple real estate funds and joint ventures. The role will interface directly with a variety of groups within AJCP including Development, Asset Management, Capital Markets, Portfolio Management, and Investor Relations as well as with outside service providers.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Assist with various tasks which support the month-end and quarter-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations, investor statement preparation and lender reporting packages
- Prepare workpapers and supporting documentation for the annual audit and tax reporting process with the audit and tax providers
- Support cash management activities for our real estate funds and joint ventures, including preparation of reserve draw request packages
- Support the accounts payable process
- Assist with special or ad hoc projects
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks to support the Accounting and Finance Department
- Perform any additional responsibilities that may be required to support AJCP’s rapid growth

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Must be pursuing one of the following degrees/majors: Bachelors of Accountancy, Masters of Accountancy, or equivalent Program
- Preferred candidate is a rising senior or 5th year Graduate Student – anticipated graduation date of May 2026
- Ability to navigate various computer applications, including MS Office (emphasis on Excel) and aptitude to quickly learn other applications

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensations for roles that will be performed in Illinois. The pay listed represents the hourly pay rate for AJCP’s internship positions. Pay: $25/hr. In addition, we provide a monthly housing stipend and paid summer holidays.
