Building Our Maintenance Bench for Tomorrow's Fleet
Not hiring right now—but we will be. Hill Bros Transportation is growing our fleet, and we're building relationships with skilled Trailer Technicians before we need to fill seats. If you're currently employed but open to future opportunities, let's connect.
What This Role Does:
You'll be the expert keeping our OTR dry van and refrigerated trailers road-ready and compliant. From inspecting trailers and diagnosing mechanical problems to performing preventative maintenance and repairing everything from brake systems to refrigeration units, you'll ensure our equipment stays safe and operational. You'll work with our parts coordinator to get what you need, document your work in our maintenance system, and collaborate with the shop team to minimize downtime. This isn't just turning wrenches—you're a critical part of keeping our drivers safe and our customers' freight moving.
Who Thrives Here:
Technicians with 6-12 months of maintenance or repair experience who can diagnose problems, work with their hands, and take pride in quality repairs. You're comfortable with trailers (dry van, reefers, chassis), know your way around brake systems and electrical work, and have a safety-first mindset. Experience with refrigerated units is a plus. You can read technical manuals, use computers to log your work, and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. Most importantly, you balance working quickly with doing the job right—no shortcuts.
Why join our pipeline? When we expand our maintenance team, you'll be first in line. We live by our values: Tradition, Give a Shit, We Not Me, Adaptable, Relentless, Spirit of Service, and Forward Thinking. We invest in our equipment and our people—this is a shop where quality work matters and your technical skills make a real difference.
