The Role:

Barton Associates is seeking an highly motivated and experienced Construction Services Representative to provide support for assigned projects are installed in accordance with plans and specifications, and to serve as a representative for the company during the construction phase of a project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide construction services representative duties including but not limited to attending construction progress meetings, site observation visits, coordinating submittal review, coordinating responses to requests for information, and change order request.
  • Provides construction administration duties on prime projects including but not limited to: preparation of contract forms, coordination of construction progress meetings, site observation visits, processing contractor Requests for Information and applications of payment, and issuing of meeting minutes, field reports, bulletins, work change directives, and change orders.
  • May assist with the review of submittals for compliance with the specifications and drawings
  • Observes construction installation as it progresses, observing as possible the materials and workmanship are satisfactory and in compliance with the project specifications
  • Monitors performance of contractors
  • Assists with tracking of assigned project construction issues that arise and works with owner/client, contractors, project engineers/designers, and Project Managers to facilitate timely response and resolution
  • Provides feedback to Technical Directors to update master specifications or design standards which may improve future design projects or prevent mistakes from reoccurring
Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  •  State registered 4-year Engineering degree or equivalent years of practical experience
  •  Minimum of 5 years of experience with design or construction
  •  Experience with overseeing the progress of projects and meeting deadlines
  •  Experience as a team member and assisting in facilitating the team effort, decision, and completion of projects
  •  Excellent written and oral communication skills
  •  Intermediate level working with Microsoft Office.
