Host responsibilities include warmly greeting guests, providing accurate wait time estimates, and escorting guests to the dining and bar areas. In this role, strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal abilities are essential to ensure each guest has a positive and seamless dining experience from arrival through departure.
Responsibilities
Welcome guests
Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
Manage reservations
Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
Provide menus and introduce server
Greet guests upon their departure
Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
Maintain a clean reception area
Cater to guests who require extra attention
Answer incoming calls and address guest queries
Assist wait staff as needed
We provide full coverage for Food Handlers and Responsible Beverage Service training and certification.

Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess preferred but not required
Understanding of restaurant etiquette
Familiarity with health and safety regulations
Ability manage reservations
Demonstrable customer-service skills
Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
Strong organizational skills
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Available to work nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid CA food handlers certification
