Do you take pride in providing compassionate, respectful, and dependable care? 75 State Street and Avesta Housing are seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support the health, comfort, and well-being of residents in our assisted living community.


In this vital, hands-on role, you’ll provide direct personal care, assist residents with daily activities, and help create a safe, supportive, and dignified living environment. You’ll work closely with nursing and care teams to observe and report changes in resident needs, maintain accurate documentation, and respond calmly and effectively in emergencies. Every day, your work will directly support 75 State Street and Avesta’s mission of improving lives by fostering safe, inclusive, and caring communities.

Located in the historic West End neighborhood of Portland, Maine, 75 State Street is a nonprofit senior community offering a continuum of care that includes Independent Living and Assisted Living. Requirements
  • Experience working with the elderly in a personal care environment preferred. 
  • Graduate of approved CNA training program and active placement on State of Maine CNA Registry. 
  • Good written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate effectively to residents, family, staff, and outside facilities and vendors. 
  • Ability to meet facility and state immunization requirements. 
  • Commitment to quality services and treating residents with dignity and respect. 
  • Ability to work effectively with others and portray a positive, team-player attitude.

We are currently hiring for day shift (6:30am - 3:00pm) and evening shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm).


This is a non-exempt/hourly position. The starting pay range is $19.00 - $22.00 per hour plus our evening shift differentials, if applicable.
