About the Company
Clinical Duties:
- Prepare patients for examination (vital signs, weight, medical history)
- Assist with examinations, procedures and minor surgeries
- Administer medications and immunizations as directed
- Perform basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy
- Collect and prepare specimens for lab testing
- Clean and sterilize medical instruments
- Maintain examination rooms, supplies and equipment
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage calendars
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries and direct calls
- Greet and check-in patients; verify insurance and demographic information
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EHR system
- Handle billing and coding for insurance claims (if applicable)
Requirements
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Completion of Medical Assisting Program with Certificate/Diploma
- Experience: At least 6 months
- Vital Signs Experience: At least 6 months
- EMR Systems Experience: At least 6 months
- High school diploma
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
