Role Summary -
This position is Entry Level Estimating and Takeoff Technician and supports earthwork, grading, and underground utility projects by developing and updating digital terrain models in AGTEK Gradework and assisting with quantity takeoffs and estimating tasks in PlanSwift. The role is responsible for reviewing project documents, generating accurate earthwork and underground quantities for bidding, creating KMZ overlays for Google Earth visualization, performing design edits and revisions, preparing job site exhibits and reports, and producing final files and plotted drawings for internal review and approval.

Key Responsibilities
· Build and modify 3D earthwork and grading models using AGTEK Gradework
· Perform underground utility takeoffs in AGTEK, including trenching, pipe quantities, and related components
· Generate accurate cut/fill and underground quantity reports to support bidding efforts
· Create KMZ overlays for Google Earth to support site analysis, presentations, and project visualization
· Assist with additional takeoffs and estimating documentation using PlanSwift
· Review plans, specifications, and work orders to confirm scope requirements and key measurements
· Perform scaling, dimensional analysis, and quantity calculations
· Retrieve and import design files from the project database and apply revisions as needed
· Coordinate with Project Management and Estimating teams to incorporate design updates and scope changes
· Create job site exhibits, visualizations, and supporting reports for internal and client review
· Prepare and output final approved files, quantity reports, and plotted drawings/hard copies as required
· Perform other related duties as assigned
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Highly proficient computer skills, including the ability to learn and operate industry-specific software (AGTEK, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, etc.)
· Ability to pass a drug screening
· Reliable transportation and ability to consistently commute to the office
· Positive attitude and strong work ethic
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· No prior experience required; training provided
