Role DescriptionWe're opening a new Bargain Lane location in Indianapolis and we're looking for a Store Manager who wants to build something from the ground up!!
This is not a role for someone who needs a playbook handed to them. You'll be hiring your team, setting the culture, receiving unpredictable merchandise, and opening the doors — all in short order.
Day to day, you'll be on the floor more than in the office. You'll be moving products, coaching staff in real time, solving problems before they become fires, and holding your team to a high standard while rolling up your sleeves alongside them. If managing from behind a desk sounds appealing, this isn't your role.You'll own the store's performance — sales, shrink, labor, customer experience, and culture. The buck stops with you.That said, you won't be on an island. As a six-store chain, we're small enough to actually know each other and collaborate. You'll have a District Manager in your corner, direct access to ownership, and a leadership team that picks up the phone. Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • You've managed a retail team before and have the scars to prove it
  • You've hired, developed, and when necessary, let go of people — and you're comfortable with all three
  • You thrive in unpredictable, fast-moving environments where no two days look the same
  • You're a natural leader on the floor — your team follows you because they respect you, not just because of your title
  • You understand shrink, loss prevention, and how to build a culture of accountability around it
  • You're gritty. When a truck shows up late, half your team calls out, and customers are at the door — you figure it out
  • Discount, liquidation, or value retail experience is a strong plus — you already understand the model
  • A degree is nice but your track record matters more

Compensation$55,000 - $65,000 base salary depending on experience, plus a performance-based bonus plan with the opportunity to earn up to 25% of your base salary annually. We believe in rewarding people who execute — if you hit your numbers and run a great store, you'll share in that success.
