We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Pilates Reformer Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety, functionality, and longevity of our equipment. This role is critical in supporting our high-end studio environment by keeping apparatus in peak condition, minimizing downtime, and protecting the client experience. Ideal for a mechanically skilled problem-solver, this position blends technical expertise with a passion for maintaining excellence in a client-focused wellness space.
Major Roles:
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on reformers and other Pilates apparatus.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to determine the root cause of malfunctions.
- Repair and replace worn or broken components, including springs, pulleys, ropes, straps, and upholstery.
- Assemble and install new Pilates equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
Studio Operations Support
- Maintain a detailed log of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replaced.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and order replacements to ensure timely repairs.
- Partner with Operations and Studio Management to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to classes.
- Perform minor cosmetic repairs (e.g., touch-up paint, upholstery fixes) to maintain a polished studio appearance.
- Ensure all equipment is clean, sanitized, and client-ready at all times.
Safety & Compliance
- Strictly adhere to safety policies and manufacturer guidelines.
- Identify and address hazards immediately to ensure client and staff safety.
- Uphold the highest standards of performance and compliance across all equipment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a mechanical or maintenance role; fitness or Pilates equipment experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy equipment (up to 184 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and walking.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with a proactive approach to preventive care.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills when working with staff and management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Effective English communication skills, written and verbal.

Compensation: $25.00/hr
