Position Summary:

Under the guidance of the Chief Growth Officer and in collaboration with the Manager of Partnerships, the Growth Coordinator will work with internal and external teams to help execute various aspects of the AIUM’s new business development plan, partnerships plan, membership and educational strategies, and other revenue-generating programs. The Growth Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the coordination and administration of rebuilding, building, and strengthening relationships of all new and existing AIUM partners, streamlining, fostering, and collaborating on program and revenue opportunities, and creating innovative ways to bolster AIUM’s impact in the ultrasound and nonprofit sectors.

The Growth Coordinator is key in implementing administrative, operational, and sales strategies to support bringing in revenue to the organization in the form of new programs, exhibiting, sponsorships, MUS Booklet sales, and more. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Growth & Partnership Support: Assist in executing strategic growth initiatives aligned with the AIUM’s strategic and departmental plans; support relationship-building with manufacturers, educational and healthcare institutions, corporations, foundations, government agencies, nonprofits, and other organizations to expand revenue, partnership, and grant opportunities; conduct research to assess partner alignment and inform partnership agreements and outcomes. 
  •  Administrative, Financial & Operational Coordination: Streamline, support, and coordinate invoicing, payment processing, proposal and agreement organization, reporting, project management, lead tracking, data hygiene, and administrative tasks across all Growth Team functions—including sponsorships, exhibits, advertising, partner programs, grants, memberships, webinars, and the Medical Ultrasound Safety Guide program—while maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities. 
  • Sales, Prospecting & Program Support: Conduct sales/lead prospecting; support the Partnerships, Manager in nurturing relationships and assisting in closing sales for sponsorships, exhibits, advertising, memberships, partner programs, and other revenue streams; support partner onboarding, renewals, fulfillment, membership growth efforts, and program operations across marketing, membership, partnerships, and publishing. 
  • Marketing, Communications & Team Support: Assist with marketing campaigns, contact list preparation, content distribution, event and webinar coordination, and member/partner communications to drive engagement and growth; contribute to AIUM-wide efforts by performing additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements

  

Education/Knowledge/Experience:
 

  • Associate’s degree required or equivalent work experience; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred 
  • Experience working in a membership association, nonprofit, or organization with partnership, sponsorship, or revenue-generating programs preferred.


Skills:

  • Experience with invoicing, payment processing, record-keeping, and financial or CRM systems.
  • Prior experience supporting sales, prospecting, lead generation, or partner/member relations is highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with partners, members, and stakeholders.
  • Preparation of compelling proposals, presentations, materials and agreements for new business opportunities to potential funders, AIUM leadership, volunteers and partners.
  • Understanding of basic sales workflows, lead tracking, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and administrative processes.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and tracking, and reliable follow-through.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and develop/streamline processes as needed.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate across departments, and provide consistent support in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

  •  Location: Laurel, MD/hybrid
  • Some travel could be required. Ability to travel to meetings, events, and seminars.


Compensation: Based on experience, 37.5 hour work week, range for the position is $28-$33/hour
