Manages regional and/or target customer accounts primarily for the purpose of building and maintaining an on-going business relationship that is mutually beneficial to both the customer and to Southwest Electric, covering the assigned territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Travel to customer sites to visit customers, build good business relationships, and to generally promote all products and services offered by Southwest Electric.
- Solicit business opportunities that fit the strategic goals and objectives as defined by Company management.
- Review customer specifications to determine whether certain business opportunities are within our capabilities.
- Maintain Southwest Electrics existing relationships with our clients, propose strategies for improving customer relationships, and ensure that clients are satisfied with our services.
- Review and or create proposals and quotations for products and services according to pricing policies established by Company management.
- Lead the effort to resolve commercial disputes within assigned customer base.
- Provide commercial support and facilitate technical and project support to customers.
- Assist as necessary in the process of resolving payment disputes with customers.
- Provide regular reports to Company management regarding commercial contacts and market conditions.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen, and physical.
- Complete a satisfactory nationwide criminal background check.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 + lbs., climb ladders, stand for extended periods of time.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline from accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 to 5 years of experience within the industry or an acceptable combination of education and experience directly related to the power industry.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency interpreting one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and physical diagrams specific to the design and installation of electrical equipment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
