In this role, you will utilize laser etching equipment to mark tools and components, verify specifications, and prepare customer orders for shipment. You’ll play a key part in ensuring every order meets quality standards and arrives to our customers accurately and on time.

What You’ll Do

As an Order Assembler I, you will:

  • Count, verify, and organize product according to specifications and etching requirements.
  • Operate a laser etching machine to etch identifying codes, figures, and letters on tools.
  • Create and apply labels for items that are not etched.
  • Inspect product to ensure conformance to customer and internal specifications.
  • Assist with packaging product using correct protective materials to ensure safe shipment.
  • Create and print packing slips and verify required documentation is included with each order.
  • Process domestic and international shipments using appropriate shipping methods (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.).
  • Utilize code readers, computers, and shipping software to complete departmental tasks.
  • Complete clerical work including filling out shipping documents and entering/retrieving information from company systems.
  • Mark internal order documentation to identify operator and processing moves.
  • Move and transport materials and information within and between departments.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on shipping equipment and machines as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members in a respectful, open, and supportive manner.
  • Demonstrate integrity through dependability, sound judgment, and accountability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret instructions and correspondence in English (written and verbal).
  • Basic computer skills for order entry, quantity tracking, and database usage.
  • Ability to accurately add and subtract whole numbers and decimals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable, organized, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, and stooping.
  • Regular use of hands and fingers.
  • Frequent lifting, moving, pushing, and pulling up to 30 pounds.
  • Occasional lifting, moving, pushing, and pulling up to 60 pounds.
  • Reaching with hands and arms.
  • Moderate noise level.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
