Highland Health & Rehabilitation is a 5-star CMS-rated skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility with 44-bed skilled, and we are dedicated to providing exceptional care. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Business Office Manager to join our dynamic team!
In this role, you will provide oversight of and assistance in daily operations of the facility including accounts receivable management, patient billing, accounts payable, central supply and the Resident Trust Fund. What You’ll Do:
- Establish and maintain financial files for all residents related to admission, billing, and collection of accounts receivable in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare accurate and timely billing for routine and ancillary services to state agencies, Medicare, Veterans Affairs, private payors and other billing agents.
- Actively manage collection process for the facility.
- Maintain a current copy of facility license(s) and proof of insurance coverage.
- Complete all necessary documentation and update applicable system data related to cash receipts, account research and adjustments, transfer of depository cash, and daily census activity.
- Review payment policies and procedures with new admissions and their responsible parties.
- Document business office processes on an on-going basis.
- Administer and reconcile resident trust accounts and petty cash at least monthly.
- Perform month-end close procedures and prepare and submit all required reports.
- When assigned by CEO, provide supervision and assistance to the Human Resources/Payroll designee and other business office staff.
- Provide support to other Business office Managers by working as a valuable partner.
- Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the company's Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
What You Bring:
- Knowledge of long-term care billing and collection practices and techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels
- Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Skills in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Requirements
Note: All employees of Cascadia Healthcare are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each state’s specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
BA degree in Accounting or Business is preferred.
Licenses/Certification
Valid driver’s license required
Experience
Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
Three years of experience in accounts receivable, collections or similar area of responsibility.
Three years office or administration experience preferred.
