Job Summary

PacAero is seeking a Quality Engineer to support product quality, manufacturing processes, and regulatory compliance within our aerospace manufacturing operations.

This role partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure product conformance, drive root cause analysis, support corrective actions, and maintain compliance with industry and customer requirements.

The Quality Engineer plays an important role in strengthening quality systems, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring PacAero maintains the highest standards of reliability and customer satisfaction.


This position is onsite, full-time days, located in Agawam, MA 

Requirements

· Support manufacturing operations by ensuring products and processes meet internal, customer, and regulatory quality requirements.

· Investigate nonconformances and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methods.

· Support internal and external audits, including AS9100, Nadcap, and customer audits.

· Review and analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

· Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve processes, reduce defects, and strengthen product reliability.

· Assist with customer quality inquiries, corrective action requests, and technical responses.

· Support new product introductions (NPI) to ensure quality requirements are understood and properly implemented.

· Review engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation to ensure quality requirements are clearly defined.

· Support the development and maintenance of quality procedures, inspection plans, and documentation.

· Participate in first article inspections (FAI) and product qualification activities.

· Work with cross-functional teams to support risk mitigation and production readiness.

· Help maintain compliance with AS9100, ISO, and Nadcap requirements.

· Promote continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen quality systems and manufacturing performance..

QUALIFICATIONS


Required Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.

· 3–7 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality engineering role.

· Experience working within regulated manufacturing environments such as AS9100, ISO, aerospace, medical, or similar industries.

· Strong understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

· Familiarity with quality tools such as SPC, 8D, CAPA, and problem-solving methodologies.

· Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

· Experience working with ERP systems and quality documentation systems.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel..


Preferred Experience

· Experience in aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing environments.

· Familiarity with Nadcap processes.

· Experience supporting customer audits and corrective action responses.

· Exposure to laser welding, CNC machining, plating, or electronic packaging processes.

· Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role operates within both office and manufacturing environments. The position requires regular interaction with production teams and may involve time on the manufacturing floor.

· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

· Ability to work with small, delicate components.

· Must follow all safety and quality procedures while on the production floor.


 

Expected Compensation: The anticipated pay range posted for this position represents PacAero (Litron, LLC)’s good-faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting and is based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, internal equity, geographic market data, and current area compensation benchmarks.
