Position Title: Certification Engineer (040535.000079)

Position Location:  2275 Eagle Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76177

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Summary of Duties:  

• Perform engineering duties in planning and designing mechanically functioning equipment - aircraft seating products. 

• Install, operate, maintain, and repair mechanically functioning equipment - aircraft seating products. 

• Collaborate with the certification team and internal program team, installers, suppliers, FAA, EASA, and designees to research, plan, and execute large and small scale certification programs. 

• Perform assigned certification tasks for a certification project as directed by Lead Engineer or Manager. 

• Ensure company compliance with TSO certification process for aircraft seating products. 

• Work as part of the certification team to implement previously established certification basis. 

• Interface with internal customers to support timely project completion. 

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date certification records. 

• Compile and enter vendor testing data to support final certification. 

Telecommuting permitted but must work at worksite location 3 days per week.

Education requirements:  Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.

Experience requirements: 2 years of experience in engineering in any occupation where the required experience is gained.

Special Skills or Other Requirements:

Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: 

1. Project management 

2. Risk management 

3. Ansys 

4. Structural analysis 

5. GD&T 

6. Testing principles: vibration, buckling, flexure, and tensile.

Travel requirements:  5% domestic travel and 2% international travel
