Description
Overview
This position will be able to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in the facility, troubleshoot complex issues, perform preventative maintenance, read schematics, and ensure safety by adhering to codes and using PPE, often working with PLCs, motors, and automation systems alongside other trades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Install wiring, conduit, panels, fixtures, and electrical components for new equipment or facility upgrades.
- Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Repair & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix electrical failures in machinery, control systems, motors, and lighting, often using testing devices.
- Code Compliance: Adhere to local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.
- Schematic Reading: Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- ** PLC Work:** Troubleshoot and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automated systems.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaboration: Work with other trades to resolve issues.

Salary Description
$25 - $32 / per hour
