JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Swim Club Bartender is an energetic and personable individual who plays a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional guest experience at the Swim Club. This role involves engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner, preparing and serving a variety of beverages, and creating a fun, lively atmosphere. The Bartender is expected to be knowledgeable about drinks, promote the club’s special events, and provide top-tier hospitality. The Swim Club Bartender embodies a vibrant, enthusiastic personality and upholds the club’s brand standards while delivering excellent service.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of a The Swim Club Bartender include, but are not limited to:

  • Adhering to all uniform guidelines and maintaining a professional appearance
  • Providing exceptional customer service by interacting with guests and creating a welcoming, fun environment
  • Mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to club standards
  • Promoting and selling special drinks, events, and club promotions to guests
  •  Accurately processing drink orders, including suggestive selling, ringing in orders, and delivering beverages in a timely manner
  • Ensuring guests have a positive and memorable experience by checking in regularly and offering re-orders when appropriate
  • Handling payments and settling checks in a professional and accurate manner
  • Following all safety and legal regulations for alcohol service
  • Maintaining a clean and organized bar area, including stocking, cleaning, and inventory management
  • Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management

Reasoning Ability

The Elmont Girl Swim Club Bartender must be able to apply common sense and follow simple instructions, handling basic tasks with minimal supervision. She will deal with standard situations, with occasional variations, and must be able to calculate accurate change and settle checks without error.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

The Elmont Girl must complete The Elmont orientation and training program before working unsupervised. She is required to successfully complete any necessary training, including certifications for food and/or alcohol service, in compliance with local and state regulations, and maintain these certifications throughout employment.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here reflect the typical conditions encountered while performing the essential functions of this role. While performing duties, the Elmont Girl will be regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles from the kitchen. She may also encounter wet or humid conditions in areas such as the dish station or walk-in cooler and swimming pool. Occasionally, she will be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals from cleaning products. The noise level in the Elmont Swim Club is typically loud, and some areas may have smoking sections, exposing the Elmont Girl to cigarettes or cigar smoke.

The Costume

The Elmont Girl plays a key role in defining the unique atmosphere of the Elmont Swim Club. It is essential that each Elmont Girl adheres to the Elmont Swim Club Presentation Guidelines while working. Occasionally, the Elmont Swim Club hosts costume events, which are optional for the Elmont Girls. If an Elmont Girl chooses not to participate, she may wear her standard Elmont Girl costume. However, if she decides to participate in the costume event, she must follow the specific costume guidelines set for that event.

  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be over the age of 18.
  • ServSafe Certification and TABC Certification are required
  • Excellent guest relation skills with focus on meeting high guest satisfaction expectations
  • Consistently maintain high performance standards
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work events on evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office) and office skills required
  • Previous bartender experience
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This role requires the Elmont Girl to regularly stand, walk, handle objects, and engage in communication.
  • This role will often need to reach with arms and hands and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus

Photo Collection Notice for Applicants

Purpose and Scope

The Elmont and its affiliates, including but not limited to Triple Tap (together, the “Company,” “we,” or “us”) collect limited applicant photographs for the sole purpose of evaluating job-related uniform and wardrobe requirements and brand presentation in swimwear for the position of Swim Club Bartender and Swim Club Waitress at the Elmont. This Notice applies to applicants who progress through the hiring process for this role and who are asked to provide photographs as described below. Any appearance evaluation will be conducted only for legitimate, job-related purposes and in compliance with applicable anti-discrimination laws including any bona fide occupational qualification considerations for the role(s).  

What We Collect

We request up to three recent (captured in the last week) photographs: one front view, one side view, and one back view. Photographs must be taken in non-revealing, form-fitting athletic or swim attire that you would be comfortable wearing for job-related wardrobe fitting. Photographs must be taken against a neutral background, must not include any additional individuals, and must not include any additional personal information.

How We Use Your Photographs

We will use the photographs only to evaluate job-related uniform and wardrobe considerations, including appropriate fit and functionality for the position’s documented duties. Photographs will not be used to assess or make hiring decisions in compliance with applicable anti-discrimination laws including any bona fide occupational qualification considerations for the role(s). We do not use automated facial recognition, body-measurement analytics, or similar biometric processing in connection with these photographs. 

Timing of Collection

We will request photographs, the position requires employees to wear a designated swimwear uniform while working in a guest-facing poolside environment, and the photographs are needed to evaluate compliance with the position's uniform and appearance standards. Access is strictly limited to the Human Resources Director, Director of Operations, and the hiring manager responsible for the Swim Club Bartender and Swim Club Waitress positions, each of whom has a legitimate business need to review the photographs for the purposes described in this Notice. The Company prohibits decisions or commentary based on protected characteristics and requires professional handling of applicant images. The Company does not disclose photographs to any third parties unless required to do so by law.

Retention and Deletion

We retain photographs only for as long as necessary to complete the evaluation and document hiring decisions as described in this Notice, or as required or permitted by applicable law. If you are hired, the photographs will be transferred to your personnel file for the purposes described in this Notice, and retained for the duration of your employment, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law or company policy, after which time photographs will be securely deleted. We may retain personal information for longer periods in specific circumstances, including:

· Where legal, regulatory, or immigration/work authorization obligations require us to keep records;

· Where records must be retained for equal opportunity reporting, audit, or compliance purposes; or

· Where employee information is relevant to potential or ongoing legal claims or disputes.

We determine our retention and deletion periods according to the following characteristics:

· The scope, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information;

· The risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure;

· The purposes for which the information was collected and how long it is needed for those purposes;

· The period during which the information may remain accurate and relevant;

Security

We store photographs in restricted, access-controlled repositories on which we have implemented reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Your Choices and Rights

Providing photographs is voluntary but may be necessary to complete the wardrobe/brand presentation evaluation for this position. Do not include visible government identification numbers, medical information, or other sensitive data. Photographs should be taken in neutral poses suitable for a professional evaluation; sexually suggestive poses are not permitted. We will return or delete any photographs that do not comply with this Notice and may request compliant replacements.
