Description

The Marriott Griffin Gate Resort is seeking a full-time Assistant General Manager to join our team in Lexington, KY. This is an on-site role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and supporting staff management and development. Key duties include supervising hotel departments, driving operational efficiency, implementing quality and service standards, and addressing guest concerns effectively. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with senior leadership to achieve financial and operational goals, all while maintaining a positive and collaborative team environment.

  • Hospitality and Operations Management: Experience in managing hotel operations, ensuring compliance with company standards, and achieving organizational excellence.
  • Customer Service and Communication: Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills to deliver exceptional guest experiences and build relationships.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, provide mentorship, and foster an inclusive, motivating workplace environment.
  • Financial Acumen: Knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue management to support operational and financial success.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and quality across all hotel facilities and services.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interactions across different departments.
  • Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Previous management experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
