Description

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist – Power Delivery & Renewables to join our growing team. This role will focus on identifying and attracting top engineering talent to support the expansion of the nation’s power grid and renewable energy infrastructure.


This position is on-site in our Overland Park office.

Requirements

Job Duties:

  • Lead proactive sourcing strategies with a primary focus on identifying and engaging passive talent for key and hard-to-fill positions. 
  • Build and maintain robust talent pipelines through networking, social media platforms, and targeted recruiting channels. 
  • Conduct candidate interviews and assessments to evaluate technical qualifications, experience, and cultural alignment with organizational values. 
  • Manage the full recruitment life cycle including offer preparation, candidate negotiations, and final communications regarding hiring decisions. 
  • Ensure recruiting processes remain consistent, compliant, and aligned with all Federal, State, and local employment regulations. 
  • Partner with hiring managers to advise on candidate selection, compensation considerations, and hiring strategies. 
  • Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews, ensuring clear communication and a positive candidate experience throughout the process. 
  • Present company benefits, culture, and other relevant organizational information to candidates during the recruitment process. 
  • Collaborate with HR partners and business leaders to understand business trends, workforce needs, operational objectives, and talent gaps. 
  • Partner with business leaders to evaluate workloads and forecast current and future staffing needs. 
  • Manage relationships with external staffing vendors and agencies, providing feedback and evaluating vendor performance. 
  • Maintain accurate candidate and recruiting activity data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and support ongoing system optimization. 
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance hiring managers’ interviewing, candidate evaluation, and recruitment best practices. 
  • Participate in recruiting initiatives, workforce planning efforts, and other talent-related projects as needed. 
  • Travel is minimally required to support recruiting initiatives and business needs. 


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional recruiting or talent acquisition experience, preferably in a corporate or agency environment. 
  • Advanced proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing platforms used to identify and engage passive candidates. 
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); Paylocity experience preferred. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with leaders and stakeholders at multiple organizational levels. 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Advanced computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present information and influence stakeholders. 
  • Proven experience partnering with hiring managers to define job requirements, establish candidate selection criteria, and execute hiring strategies. 
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational discipline. 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative in recruiting activities. 
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to adapt communication style, build consensus, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
