Toledo Tool & Die is adding Facilities Maintenance to our team to support our continued growth.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of company buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role ensures facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained to support daily operations. The position requires hands-on technical skills, problem-solving ability, and adherence to safety standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and fixtures.
- Diagnose and repair basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Perform painting, patching, flooring, and general building repairs as needed.
- Support preventative maintenance schedules and document completed work.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors as directed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Accurately complete work orders, maintenance logs, and related documentation.
- Assist with facility projects, renovations, or equipment moves as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ability to take direction, coaching, and act positively to improve performance.
- Employee is responsible for ensuring all environmental practices are in line with job scope/position. Examples include but not limited to: proper waste disposal practices, reporting of spills,
- non-compliance to permit, and addressing any improper practices.
- Assumes additional duties as assigned, which may fall outside the primary scope of the role.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related role
- preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read work orders, manuals, and basic schematics.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
