Toledo Tool & Die is adding Facilities Maintenance to our team to support our continued growth.


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of company buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role ensures facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained to support daily operations. The position requires hands-on technical skills, problem-solving ability, and adherence to safety standards.

Come join our 1st shift team! Hours for this position are typically:

  • Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:00pm

*Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays) *

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Diagnose and repair basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Perform painting, patching, flooring, and general building repairs as needed.
  • Support preventative maintenance schedules and document completed work.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors as directed.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in a clean and organized manner.
  • Accurately complete work orders, maintenance logs, and related documentation.
  • Assist with facility projects, renovations, or equipment moves as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ability to take direction, coaching, and act positively to improve performance.
  • Employee is responsible for ensuring all environmental practices are in line with job scope/position. Examples include but not limited to: proper waste disposal practices, reporting of spills,
  • non-compliance to permit, and addressing any improper practices.
  • Assumes additional duties as assigned, which may fall outside the primary scope of the role.



Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related role
  • preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read work orders, manuals, and basic schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Salary Description
$25.00/hr
