JOB TITLE: Summer Pool Gate/Concession Attendant

REPORTS TO: Program Director and/or as assigned

FLSA TYPE: Non-Exempt, Hourly

JOB PURPOSE:

Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, the summer pool staff will administer all functions related to the Bartlesville city pools (Frontier and/or Sooner) concessions and pool entry. They will have a direct focus on serving our community members through great customer service. The summer pool staff at The Richard Kane YMCA creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (not a complete list):

1. Project YMCA image by personal adherence to all policies.
2. Assist Patrons with information on hours of operation, rules, special events, rental information, etc..
3. Adhere to and collect all set admission and concessions fees.
4. Accurately complete daily inventory reports.
5. Run reports as requested /needed.
6. Receipt money, make daily deposits, open & close shifts in register software.
7. Interpret and administer all policies established by the YMCA and City of Bartlesville, to all patrons, employees, etc.
8. Deal with emergency situations alongside Lifeguard staff as they arise using all proper, trained skills.
9. Deal with upset patrons in a respectful, understanding manner
10. Maintain a safe environment in all patron areas, including pool deck, Water slides, locker rooms, etc.

Required:

• 14 years of age. (Work permit will be required)
• Excellent skills in customer service and interactions with others.
• Experience working with computer software programs.
• Experience handling cash.

Preferred:

• 16 years of age
• Experience in a customer service setting
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid/O2 Certification.
• Bilingual - English/Spanish
