Position Summary

The Turfgrass Technician is responsible for maintaining exceptional playing conditions across all areas of the golf course. This includes the daily care of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, and landscaped areas. The position works closely with the Superintendent and grounds team to deliver a high-quality golf experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Mow and maintain greens, tees, fairways, and rough using specialized turf equipment
• Rake and maintain sand bunkers to ensure proper playing conditions
• Perform turf care practices including aeration, topdressing, fertilization, seeding, and divot repair
• Assist with course setup, including moving tee markers, cups, and course signage
• Operate and maintain golf course maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles
• Assist with irrigation system monitoring and adjustments
• Maintain landscaped areas, cart paths, and practice facilities
• Support tournament and outing preparation
• Follow all safety procedures and equipment guidelines

Qualifications

• Previous golf course, landscaping, agriculture, or turf maintenance experience preferred but not required
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate turf equipment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high-quality playing surfaces
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance

Work Environment

• Typical shifts begin early morning (5:30–6:00 AM)
• Flexible scheduling depending on weather and course needs
• Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Weekend and holiday availability required during peak golf season

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 40–50 pounds
• Ability to walk long distances across the golf course
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as raking, lifting, and pushing equipment
