The Springs Resort & Spa is looking for a dedicated Pool Grounds Attendant to maintain and enhance the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the pool areas and surrounding grounds. The Pool Grounds Attendant is responsible for monitoring and maintaining proper temperatures in all geothermal pools and features. You will also ensure that all outdoor areas, including pool decks, walkways, stairs and seating areas around the pools, are well-kept and visually appealing for guests. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for guest service and property maintenance, who can work independently to create a relaxing, safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for resort guests.

• Maintain a high standard of customer service by assisting guests with any inquiries or needs. 
• Monitor and adjust temperatures in all geothermal pools and features.
• Attend to guests needs and enhance their experiences through positive interactions while soaking.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the pool decks, seating areas, and surrounding grounds by sweeping, picking up towels and removing trash.
• Clean and organize poolside furniture, umbrellas, and other amenities to ensure guest areas are tidy, comfortable, and functional.
• Ensure all trash and recycling bins are emptied frequently and maintained to resort standards.
• Perform routine inspections of pool grounds to identify and address any potential hazards or areas requiring attention.
• Monitor the safety and cleanliness of walkways, railings, and entrances to pool areas, ensuring slip hazards or obstructions are addressed immediately.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining poolside events, including the arrangement of chairs, tables, and other outdoor equipment.
• Collaborate with the pool engineering to ensure timely and efficient resolution of any issues related to pool grounds.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs for poolside infrastructure, such as fences, decks, and walkways, to the appropriate teams.
• Educate guests on water mineral content and how we control pool temperatures.
• Ensure guests are aware of all our wellness classes and spa treatment offerings.
• Participate in seasonal or special projects, such as the installation of holiday or event-specific décor in the pool areas.

Requirements

Education/Formal Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a guest facing customer service position.
• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance preferred.
• Experience working in a resort, hotel, or pool setting is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Desire to provide excellent guest service, always going the extra mile to positively impact our guest’s experience.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a clean and aesthetically pleasing environment.
• Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks, lifting, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of safe handling practices for tools and equipment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, based on the resort’s operational needs.
• Must be able to travel to The Springs Resort & Spa.
