Data Scientist (Level 2 - 4)


We are seeking Data Scientists to support advanced analytics and Natural Language Processing (NLP) initiatives. In this role, you will develop and apply AI/ML solutions to large, complex datasets, including language data from both spoken and written sources. You will build and improve models for tasks such as tokenization, part-of-speech tagging, and performance evaluation against human-generated annotations.


This position requires strong experience with Python and Jupyter Notebooks, along with a solid foundation in statistical analysis, data modeling, and machine learning.


Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models, with a focus on NLP applications
Design automated solutions for language data processing, annotation, and analysis
Analyze large, complex datasets to generate actionable insights

Evaluate and improve model performance using statistical methods and benchmarking techniques
Translate mission needs and analytic questions into technical solutions
Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Build reproducible workflows for data processing, modeling, and visualization

Requirements

Experience with machine learning, data modeling, and advanced analytics  

Proficiency in Python (required), including Jupyter Notebooks

Experience with NLP techniques and frameworks

Data management, cleaning, and transformation experience

Statistical analysis skills, including hypothesis testing, inference, and exploratory data analysis 

Experience with large-scale data processing tools (e.g., Spark or cloud platforms) is a plus 

Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries) 

Ability to work collaboratively and communicate complex concepts effectively  


Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-15 years depending on level
  • Associate’s degree with 5-17 years depending on level

Degrees should be in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field. Candidates with degrees in other disciplines may be considered if they have significant coursework in advanced mathematics or computer science, or hold a Data Science certificate.


TS/SCI with Polygraph Required
