About the Role

Aspen Private Duty Nursing is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide 1:1 in-home care for a patient diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis in Irving, Texas.

This role is ideal for CNAs who value individualized, relationship-based care and have experience supporting patients with neurological or medically complex conditions.

Position Details

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
   
• Assist with repositioning and transfers to ensure comfort and prevent skin breakdown
   
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to supervising nurse
   
• Support respiratory care needs (as trained), including observing breathing patterns and assisting with equipment
   
• Assist with feeding and hydration as needed
   
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
   
• Provide emotional support while preserving patient dignity and comfort
   
• Accurately document care provided
   

Qualifications

• Active Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
   
• Experience with ALS, neurological, or medically complex patients preferred
   
• Ability to follow care plans and work under nurse supervision
   
• Strong observation and communication skills
   
• Ability to work independently in a home setting
   
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
