Description

The Pricing Manager - Date Center Equipment  supports Hyper’s data center power distribution business by developing and maintaining structured pricing models that enable accurate, scalable quoting across the organization.


This role is responsible for building and managing Hyper’s price book and ensuring pricing aligns with product configuration logic, supplier costs, and commercial objectives. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales, this position plays a key role in improving quoting efficiency, margin visibility, and overall sales productivity.


The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, experience working with technical products, and a practical understanding of pricing within the data center or electrical infrastructure industry.


Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive price book across Hyper’s product lines
  • Partner with Product and Configurator teams to align pricing logic with configuration rules and technical constraints
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to incorporate product-level knowledge into pricing strategy and structure
  • Support Sales and Applications Engineering teams on bids, ensuring competitive positioning and alignment with margin targets
  • Conduct competitive pricing analysis and market benchmarking within the data center power distribution space

Additional Responsibilities

  • Analyze deal performance and recommend pricing improvements to optimize margin and win rates
  • Support special pricing approvals and complex bid structures
  • Contribute to the development of scalable pricing tools and processes to improve quoting efficiency
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to refine pricing models
Requirements
  • Experience in the data center power distribution industry
  • Strong understanding of competitors, product architectures, and market dynamics
  • Demonstrated experience building or managing structured price books
  • Experience supporting bid processes in collaboration with Sales and Engineering teams
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and pricing tools
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and commercial stakeholders

Preferred

  • Experience with product configurators or CPQ systems
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure such as RPPs, PDUs, busway, and switchboards
  • Background in electrical power distribution or mission-critical infrastructure

Travel Requirement

  • Richmond, VA-based candidates preferred
  • Remote candidates must be willing to travel to Richmond, VA approximately one week per month (up to two weeks per month during initial onboarding period)

The anticipated minimum starting salary range for this role is $90,000 – $120,000 per year. Actual salary will vary based on experience, industry knowledge, technical expertise, and location. This position is eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation based on individual and company performance.
