About the Role:
The Account Manager plays a key role within MCL’s multi-location, vertically integrated contract manufacturing division. This position is responsible for driving customer satisfaction, sustaining revenue growth, achieving profit objectives for key accounts, and developing new business within MCL’s target markets.
The Account Manager will build strong customer relationships, align customer needs with MCL’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities, and serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure successful program execution.
Hours & Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday office hours
Pay Range: $60,000-$90,000 annually
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sustainable revenue growth and profitability targets through alignment with MCL’s strategic growth objectives.
- Build and maintain long-term partnerships across multiple levels within customer organizations.
- Deliver excellent customer service both externally and internally.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide a best-in-class customer experience with accuracy, responsiveness, and efficiency.
- Lead pricing discussions and negotiations to ensure MCL’s profit objectives are achieved while delivering value to the customer.
- Communicate customer expectations, forecasts, and future requirements to internal operations teams.
- Identify and pursue new customer opportunities within MCL’s target markets.
- Coordinate internal technical, quality, and manufacturing resources to support customer programs and deliver successful outcomes.
- Contribute to a high-performing team environment by supporting broader divisional goals and initiatives.
Education/Training:
- 4-year undergraduate Degree required (Engineering, Sales and Marketing, or Business related preferred)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in customer-facing sales and Account Management
- Miller Heiman Strategic and Conceptual Selling methodology preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
- Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor experience preferred).
- Ability to develop and execute long-term strategic account plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Experience selling to OEM customers across multiple markets.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts related to electrical, mechanical, or fabrication-based products.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to influence decision-makers and drive business outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Demonstrates integrity and alignment with MCL’s core values.
Travel Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Travel expected 20–35% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Be able to lift 10-25 lbs for short periods
Materials and Equipment Utilized:
- Computers, projectors, printers, etc
Working Environment:
- 30% - Manufacturing environment internal to MCL and our OEM customer’s manufacturing environment
- 70% Office – MCL office and OEM customer’s office environment
