Description
The Summer Camps Coach/Counselor plays a key role in delivering a safe, fun, and development-focused camp experience for players of all levels. Coaches will lead age-appropriate training sessions, supervise campers throughout the day, and positively represent the Charlotte Independence values of development, sportsmanship, and enjoyment.
This is a part-time, seasonal role with opportunities available at multiple locations across our footprint.
Requirements
Player Development & Coaching
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate soccer activities based on the camp curriculum.
- Adapt coaching approaches to various skill levels and learning styles.
- Demonstrate proper technique, encourage creativity, and maintain a positive coaching environment.
Camper Supervision & Safety
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all campers.
- Supervise players during all camp activities, including water breaks, transitions, and pickup/dropoff.
- Manage behavior positively and follow established safety and emergency procedures.
Communication & Culture
- Build strong rapport with campers to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with camp staff, parents, and leadership when needed.
- Serve as a positive role model by displaying professionalism, punctuality, and strong character.
Operational Support
- Assist with field setup, registration set-up, equipment organization, and daily cleanup.
- Support checkin, checkout, attendance, and grouping processes.
- Collaborate with the Camp Director and other coaches to ensure the daily schedule runs smoothly.
Program Representation
- Promote the club’s core values and longterm player development philosophy.
- Represent the Charlotte Independence brand with energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
