JOB SUMMARY 

Eastside Catholic School is seeking a part-time (0.6-0.8 FTE) High School Marketing teacher to join the Business and Communication Department for the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will foster students’ understanding of and interest in marketing while creating an engaging, supportive classroom environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching, has experience in business and marketing, inspires student curiosity and engagement, and demonstrates a strong belief in every student’s potential for growth.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Establish clear objectives for assigned lessons, learning targets and projects and communicate these to students in alignment with department curriculum
  • Plan and teach three Marketing courses: Marketing I, II and III, using current pedagogical best practices
  • Develop and maintain curriculum materials, including syllabi, course outlines and assessments in alignment with the department expectations
  • Monitor and assess student’s development and progress in a fair and consistent manner
  • Participate in all faculty and department meetings as required
  • Serve as DECA Co-Advisor and help run DECA student store
  • Attend DECA competitions and help with student fundraising projects
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of and experience with business and/or marketing curriculum at the high school level
  • Experience with differentiated instruction to serve diverse learners
  • Proficiency with classroom technology
  • Effectively create positive relationships with students and families
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, communication and organizational skills
  • A commitment to practices that promote equity, inclusion and a sense of belonging

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with a focus in business or a related field 
  • Proven experience teaching at the high school level
  • A teaching certificate is preferred
Salary Description
$54,500-$109,105 pro-rated based on FTE
