Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Accountant to support our multi-property hospitality portfolio and affiliated entities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, executing day-to-day accounting functions, and supporting month-end close and reporting in accordance with USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry) and GAAP for 25 entities

Key Responsibilities

Core Accounting & Bookkeeping:

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable across multiple entities

- Perform daily cash postings, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy

- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and allocations


Month-End Close & Reporting:

- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities

- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances

- Support preparation of monthly financial statements in alignment with USALI standards

- Assist with departmental reporting (Rooms, F&B, Spa, Other Operated Departments)


Systems & Process:

- Work within systems such as Acumatica, QuickBooks, Paylocity, and hotel PMS platforms (e.g., OPERA/StayNTouch/Maestro)

- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure data integrity across systems

- Support process improvements and automation initiatives within accounting workflows


Compliance & Support:

- Assist with sales tax, occupancy tax, and other regulatory filings

- Support annual audits, tax preparation, and lender reporting

- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies


Requirements

Required:

- 2+ years of experience in accounting

- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, debits & credits, and account reconciliations

- Experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Acumatica, Sage, or similar)

- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data organization)

- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities


Preferred:

- Experience in hospitality accounting or multi-entity environments

- Familiarity with USALI reporting standards

- Exposure to hotel systems (PMS/POS integrations)

- Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Paylocity)

- Background in public accounting or outsourced accounting services


Salary Description
$60,000-$70,000
