Description
General Responsibilities
- Assist with programmatic training and monitoring in child development, health, family services, and administration.
- Onboard new staff focusing on curriculum implementation, active supervision, and daily health, safety, and monitoring procedures.
- Implement Child Development Associate Training Program, including classroom monitoring and individual guidance.
- Serve as site supervisor or lead teacher when necessary.
- Monitor classroom practices, curriculum implementation, lesson plans, daily schedules, routines, and transitions.
- Conduct monthly visits to observe classrooms, review records, and ensure program compliance.
- Make recommendations for funding allocations of classroom supplies and equipment.
- Plan education services integrated with health, safety, mental health, nutrition, and family engagement.
- Conduct training for staff in child development and develop training for newly hired education staff and volunteers.
- Facilitate educational training for staff and parents, and participate in parent engagement activities.
- Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in early childhood education or related field with 36 hours of child development.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working directly with young children and families.
- Obtain CLASS Reliability within 1 year of hire.
- Meet personnel qualifications as required in Part 407: Licensing Standards for Day Care Centers.
- Experience working with diverse racial/cultural groups.
- Ability to work independently and accept increased levels of responsibility.
- Knowledge and experience with Head Start program and performance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Teams).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Pass background clearance, physical, and TB test; valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of liability insurance.
