Job Summary:
The PM Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary food production environment. This role ensures that all equipment, machinery, and facility areas are cleaned and sanitized according to company standards and food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, tools, and work areas
- Ensure all cleaning procedures meet food safety and company standards
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions
- Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors, walls, and surfaces
- Remove waste and maintain proper disposal procedures
- Complete sanitation logs and documentation accurately
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors
- Follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP guidelines, and safety protocols
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous sanitation or food manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be reliable and able to work the assigned PM shift
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in wet, cold, or hot environments
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions
Work Environment:
- Food production facility
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, water, and varying temperatures
- Must follow strict hygiene and safety standards at all times
