Job Summary:

The PM Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary food production environment. This role ensures that all equipment, machinery, and facility areas are cleaned and sanitized according to company standards and food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, tools, and work areas 
  • Ensure all cleaning procedures meet food safety and company standards 
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning 
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions 
  • Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors, walls, and surfaces 
  • Remove waste and maintain proper disposal procedures 
  • Complete sanitation logs and documentation accurately 
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors 
  • Follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP guidelines, and safety protocols 
Requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous sanitation or food manufacturing experience preferred 
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures 
  • Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Must be reliable and able to work the assigned PM shift 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs 
  • Ability to work in wet, cold, or hot environments 
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions 

Work Environment:

  • Food production facility 
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals, water, and varying temperatures 
  • Must follow strict hygiene and safety standards at all times 

Expectations:

  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility up to company and regulatory standards 
  • Ensure readiness of production areas for the next shift 
  • Work as part of a team to meet sanitation goals and deadlines
