Assistant to Kids Pastor
Description

Job Summary:

Assist Kids Pastor, assist Kids Ministry o?ce sta?, have a passion for Kids Ministry, and maintain o?ce responsibilities as we work together to change little lives with the truth if Jesus.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Works with and assists Kids Pastor in note taking and email and calendar management.
  • Lead in organization, promotion, implementation, and follow-up of special events including, but not limited to, Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, Vacation Bible School, Camps, and Mission Trips.
  • Arranges and schedules all ministry needs/events into scheduling system.
  • Prepares and orders all marketing/print work needs for Kids Ministry through Media and Communication Team. Also schedules and posts all social media posts.
  • Assists in approving and scheduling of childcare requests (regularly occurring).
  • Manages Sunday numbers and inputs them each week and manages guest information.
  • Assists, along with other o?ce sta?, in database changes and management.
  • Maintains o?ce responsibilities including but not limited to Time Clock Plus, meeting notes, and monitoring Kids Ministry email and phone.
  • Works Sundays-Thursdays including but not limited to Wednesday and Sunday evenings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other similar software.
  • Ability to listen e?ectively and to communicate clearly both orally and in written form.
  • Ability to maintain con?dentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills: detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Have a high commitment to moral and ethical standards, striving in all actions to be pure of heart, mind, word, and deed.
  • Must be available to work a ?ex schedule encompassing Wednesday night, Sunday morning services as
  • well as special ministry events throughout the year.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen as well as criminal and sexual misconduct.
  • background checks.


Education and Experience:

  • Degree or prior experience in administrative/o?ce administration role preferred.


Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
  • The ability to work on site in Green Acres o?ces and campus.
