The Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of technology deployment projects across multiple sites, including retail, warehouse, and logistics environments. This role ensures that installations such as POS systems, networking infrastructure, and mobile devices are delivered on time, within scope, and to defined quality standards.
This position manages complex, custom deployments ranging from small implementations to large-scale national rollouts. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients and is accountable for coordinating internal teams, field resources, and third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution: Manage the full lifecycle of technology deployment projects, including kickoff, planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout across multiple sites.
Resource Coordination: Coordinate internal teams, third-party field technicians, and cabling crews to ensure appropriate coverage and execution across all locations.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, leading communications, providing status updates, and resolving escalated issues.
Scope & Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress across multiple concurrent deployments.
Quality Assurance: Review site deliverables, including photos, testing results, and sign-offs, to ensure installations meet defined scope and quality requirements.
Change Management: Approve change orders within defined limits and ensure adjustments are documented and executed effectively.
Project Oversight: Manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, each consisting of five or more deployment sites.
Final Site Approval: Provide final sign-off on site completion based on quality and scope adherence.

Work Environment & Travel
This position is based onsite in Greensboro, NC. Approximately 25% travel is required to support deployment activities. Occasional onsite presence at project locations is expected.
The role supports multiple time zones and requires flexibility outside of standard business hours as needed to meet project demands.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in retail technology deployment, mobility solutions, or managed services.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, point-of-sale (POS), wireless/mobility solutions, and/or retail systems integration.
- Proven ability to manage multi-site, large-scale deployments with tight timelines.
- Experience managing budgets, project financials, and customer or vendor contracts.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working within warehouse and logistics environments
- Direct experience with POS systems and logistics-related technology deployments
- Proven client-facing experience, including leading communications and managing expectations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to translate technical issues into clear business communications
- Demonstrated ability to complete project milestones and deployments on time or ahead of schedule
- History of positive stakeholder feedback from both internal teams and external clients
- Effective management of project scope and change activity
- Ability to work across departments to include warehouse, integration, shipping and receiving
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or CAPM certification
- Experience with project management and service platforms such as Smartsheet, IFS, NetSuite, ServiceNow, or similar systems
- Prior exposure to field-based technology deployment environments a plus
Collaboration & Partnerships
This role works cross-functionally with Operations, Field Services, Sales, Finance, and client stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
