Summary: 

The Employee Success Partner plays a critical role in delivering a consistent, compliant, and people-focused experience across the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the CFO, this role ensures policies, systems, and support processes function in a way that empowers staff and promotes success. The Employee Success Partner owns key HR operations, including onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and coordination of internal systems, while serving as a trusted point of contact for employee-related questions. This role contributes to a culture that values transparency, equity, and accountability and collaborates across departments to support SourcePoint’s mission and team.


A collaborative, team-based approach is essential to agency-wide success.


Essential Job Functions:


Recruitment, Onboarding, and Retention 

  • Partner with leadership to align recruitment and retention strategies with agency needs.
  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires, ensuring a welcoming, well-supported transition.
  • Oversee onboarding-related volunteer activities in collaboration with the Volunteer Engagement Specialist.

Payroll Coordination and Compliance

  • Collaborate with the Operations Specialist to ensure accurate payroll processing; perform final review following the Quality Improvement Manager’s review.
  • Provide payroll data to the accounting team for monthly journal entries.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual payroll budget.
  • Coordinate with vendors to support payroll tax and regulatory filings.
  • Support workers' compensation reporting and processes.

Employee Benefits Support

  • Serve as employee resource on benefits questions throughout the year.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment process and communication.
  • Maintain Cafeteria 125 documentation.
  • Support accurate administration of retirement plans and annual audits.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and brokers on plan selection.

Compliance and HR Administration

  • Maintain the agency's pay scale and contribute to market benchmarking.
  • Oversee annual performance appraisal process.
  • Update personnel policies in response to organizational or legal changes.
  • Maintain personnel files in accordance with retention requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with ADA, FMLA, COBRA, OSHA, wage & hour, workers' compensation, and other applicable laws.
  • Submit filings (e.g., EEOC, OSHA, Dept. of Labor) as required.

Volunteer Program Collaboration 

  • Partner with Volunteer Engagement Specialist on policy alignment and onboarding consistency.
  • Support recognition planning and related efforts as needed.
  • Participate in volunteer planning and discussions.

Risk Management & Security

  • Document staff and volunteer incidents; contribute to safety and prevention planning.
  • Update emergency and business continuity procedures annually.
  • Assist with insurance renewals and compliance documentation.

Employee Relations and Support

  • Provide employees and supervisors with clear guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Support conflict resolution and employee coaching, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Deliver compliance-related training as needed.
  • Contribute to staff and leadership development efforts, including Staff Development Day, Lunch & Learns, and internal roundtables. 

Committees 

  • Chair the TIDE Committee.
  • Serve as resource to Wellness, Safety, and Communications Committees.

HIPAA Security Officer Responsibilities

  • Ensure HIPAA security compliance related to group health plan.
  • Conduct risk assessments and coordinate breach response protocols.
  • Maintain records and provide training for ePHI handling.



Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance.
  • Comfort with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
  • Discretion and professionalism in confidential matters.
  • Ability to navigate sensitive situations with empathy and consistency.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments, fostering open communication, building trust, and supporting a cohesive, team-oriented culture that contributes to organizational success. Must be comfortable engaging with staff across the organization and promoting visibility and connection through informal interactions. 



Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in an HR generalist or partner role. 
  • Familiarity with benefits, compliance, and policy work. 
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements, including ADA, FMLA, wage & hour, workers’ compensation, OSHA, and document retention standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of benefits administration, payroll tax obligations, and related regulatory reporting



Working Conditions: 

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Occasional physical activity including lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license for local travel.
  • Flexibility to attend outdoor events and meetings.
