Position Overview
The Maintenance Worker supports the mission of Marian Central Catholic High School by maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. This position involves daily cleaning, facility, upkeep, light repairs, and general maintenance tasks throughout the school and surrounding grounds.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming as needed.
· Perform routine maintenance and repair work such as fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs and minor plumbing, electrical or carpentry tasks.
· Set up and break down spaces for school events, assemblies and meetings.
· Ensure grounds and entryways are clean, safe and free from debris or snow.
· Organize maintenance supplies and equipment; notify the Director of Facilities when stock needs replenishing.
· Assist with deliveries, moving furniture and other manual tasks as requested.
· Follow safety procedures and maintain a secure facility.
· Indoor and outdoor tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
· Experience in custodial, facilities, or general maintenance work preferred.
· Ability to perform basic repairs and safely use hand and power towels.
· Dependable, detail-oriented and able to work independently.
· Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform manual labor.
· Must successfully pass a background check.
