The Position:

The Warehouse pharmacy technician provides clinical support services and preparation of infusion therapy prescriptions under the direction of a pharmacist, and in compliance with state board of pharmacy’s practice regulations. The pharmacy technician prepares and provides clinical support services necessary for the dispensing of injectable and oral medications used to support our core business offerings. Responsibilities include:

• Demonstrates understanding of current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
• Performs cleaning and pharmacy in accordance with company policy and state BOP regulations.
• Participates in company’s quality assurance and performance improvement program.
• Remains current with the BOP continuing education requirements and participates in company’s CE offerings.
• Manages pharmacy inventory including ordering, receiving, and storage of medications and supplies from vendors, including shipping supplies.
• Maintaining Records - Maintain records of items received and shipped. This includes accurately recording serial numbers, the name of the manufacturer and the time and date the shipment was received.
• Filing Orders -Pick, pack and ship medication and supplies intended for delivery to patients, other Soleo pharmacies and other external entities.
• Manages owned and rented medical equipment including tracking use, maintenance due, and regular cleaning and testing
• Use of Equipment - Safely and efficiently operating equipment such as forklifts, hand tools and labeling machines. They also may be asked to use a computer for record-keeping and to use cleaning equipment to keep the facility tidy.
• Unloading Boxes - meeting delivery trucks, unloading boxes and transporting them for safe storage. This may include quality control checks to ensure that products meet specifications, and checking incoming items against invoices to ensure the proper product has been delivered.

Schedule: 

• Must be able to work Full time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week
• Must have experience working in a warehouse pharmacy environment completing inventory, scanning, filling orders, etc.
• Preferred Infusion Warehouse Pharmacy Technician experience
• Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Alabama in goodstanding
• Preferred PTCB/NHA certification

• High school diploma or equivalent..
• Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required by the BOP
• Prior technician experience with a home infusion or specialty pharmacy company preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent planning, problem solving, organizational, time management and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively with others and as part of a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
