About the role:
As a Lead Installer, you will oversee and support commercial furniture installation projects across the Denver metro area, ensuring quality workmanship, safety, and client satisfaction. You will serve as the primary on-site liaison between installation crews, project managers, and customer contacts, keeping work moving efficiently and resolving issues as they arise.
This hands-on role blends team leadership, installation expertise, and project coordination, with opportunities to step in and assist with installations as needed. Success in this role requires clear communication, strong organization, adaptability, and professionalism in dynamic environments.
What you’ll do:
- Plan and lead furniture installations by reviewing project plans, drawings, and schedules.
- Act as the on-site liaison between crews, project managers, and customers, keeping everyone aligned.
- Lead and mentor installation teams, ensuring work is accurate, safe, and on schedule.
- Assemble, install, and adjust commercial furniture, including wall-mounted applications and in-field modifications.
- Monitor progress, resolve issues, and coordinate materials or equipment to keep projects on track.
- Inspect products for damage or missing parts and secure customer sign-offs upon completion.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites in compliance with safety protocols and secure access requirements.
- Communicate updates and report progress using email, photos, and other basic technology tools.
Who you are:
- 5+ years of commercial furniture installation experience, including modular systems, case goods, filing, and seating products.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring installation crews, including complex, multi-floor projects.
- Strong knowledge of installation techniques, wall-mounted applications, power poles, and field modifications.
- Ability to read and interpret installation drawings, project plans, and blueprints accurately.
- Proficient with hand and power tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic technology for reporting and communication.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; able to manage priorities in dynamic jobsite environments.
- Comfortable working independently in the field while maintaining alignment with project managers and internal teams.
- High school diploma or GED required; valid Driver’s License required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Security & Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to pass a background check consistent with applicable law.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record required for roles involving travel.
- This role requires access to secure facilities; candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
This is a hands-on role that keeps you on your feet. You’ll regularly lift, carry, and move items weighing 50 pounds or more, and you'll be walking, standing, and staying active throughout the day. You should be comfortable bending, kneeling, crouching, or reaching into tight spaces when needed. Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to safely handle tools and materials are a must.
Work Environment:
This full-time position is primarily out in the field Monday-Friday in Denver, CO and surrounding areas, including secure customer facilities with site-specific access requirements. On occasion you may be required to work evenings/weekends/overnight stays.
