Job Summary


The Kids Club Associate is responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for children participating in Kids Club activities at The Valley Hunt Club. This role supports the Club’s family-oriented culture by facilitating age-appropriate activities, supervising children responsibly, and offering exceptional service to members and their families. The Kids Club Associate ensures that all children enjoy a fun, positive, and secure experience consistent with the Club’s standards of excellence.


Essential Functions


Child Supervision & Engagement

  • Supervise children in a safe, attentive, and caring manner at all times. From ages 3 and up.
  • Lead age-appropriate activities including crafts, games, reading time, and structured play.
  • Foster a warm and inclusive environment that supports the Club’s family values.
  • Ensure children follow Kids Club rules and behavioral expectations.

Program Support

  • Assist in planning and preparing activities, crafts, and seasonal programs.
  • Help set up and clean up Kids Club rooms, toys, and activity spaces before and after shifts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of toys, supplies, and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and notify supervisor when items need replacement.

Member Service & Communication

  • Greet members  and children warmly, providing friendly and professional service.
  • Communicate with parents regarding sign-in procedures, child needs, and program updates.
  • Handle member concerns or questions with professionalism and discretion.
  • Uphold and reinforce Club policies to ensure safety and positive experiences.

Safety, Security & Compliance

  • Monitor children closely to maintain a safe environment.
  • Follow all emergency procedures, including incident reporting and first-aid  protocols.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Club policies and state safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, sign-in/out logs, and documentation.

  

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time during an entire shift
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs., including trays, dish bins, and supplies
  • Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting overhead required for stocking and cleaning
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Requirements

  

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in a school, childcare, recreation, or hospitality environment preferred. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work with children ranging from toddlers to pre-teens. 
  • Patient, positive, and energetic personality. 
  • CPR and First Aid certification required. 
  • Must be available to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on Club programming. Split shift during the day/night shift.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with The Valley Hunt Club standards.
