Position Summary: The International General Ledger Accountant adds value to BAPI and the Accounting Team by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across multiple global entities, managing and reconciling general ledger accounts and preparing international financial statements.
Prepare and analyze international accounting records, financial statements, or other financial procedural standards

- Assist with compliance reporting to federal, state and local agencies
- Reconcile accounts on a monthly basis
- Advise about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts
- Prepare monthly international financial statements and bank reconciliations
- Close financial statements on a monthly basis
Review and approve international accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and ensures payments are made and receipts received timely
- Review and approve matched invoices and PO requests for Accounts Payable
- Review and communicate any aging or invoice discrepancies
Coordinate all international logistics, incoming and outgoing, monitor and approve freight costs
- Review and reconcile logistics costs and revenues
- Coordinate with carriers to address shipping/delivery errors / issues
Monitor and manage international inventory reconciliation
- Lead and monitor monthly reconciliation of inventory
- Lead and manage the monthly scrap and obsolete inventory review process
Maintain and analyze international company budgets
- Prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual cost
Process international payroll based on country frequency
- Review and reconcile all payroll benefits
Prepare and maintain international manuals for accounting procedures
Cross-train and assist other accounting functions as needed and provide procedural feedback
Maintain industry knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes; reviewing related publications; establishing networks.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, including special projects and tasks as delegated supervisor.
Education Requirements (R/Required, P/Preferred):
(R) Bachelor’s Degree
- Degrees Preferred: Accounting, Business Administration or Business Management
Training, Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Specific Training in this field (R/Required, P/Preferred):
- (R) Proficient using 10-Key
Experience/Knowledge in this field (R/Required, P/Preferred):
- (R) Minimum of (4) years of basic accounting experience
- (R) Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – emphasis in Excel, Word, Access and Outlook
- (R) Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive company & employee information
- (R) Experience with employment and/or financial management systems
