Responsibilities:

  • Follow a detailed support plan with goals specific to each client’s needs and be respectful of each client’s wishes and personal preferences.
  • Domestic support skills such as: cooking, cleaning, medication assistance, scheduling and attending medical appointments, shopping, transportation, and housing management.
  • Working on an array of goals to support clients in accessing social activities and utilizing community resources. Community inclusion support will likely include: attending social and volunteering events with clients, encouraging client involvement in community, advocating for clients, and providing transportation
  • Ensuring client’s health and safety.
  • Working with others in the interest of the individuals we support.
  • Proper documentation compliance in accordance with State of ME regulatory guidelines and practices using the ClearCare/Well Sky phone app.

Schedule:

Sunday: off

Monday: 9a-3p

Tuesday: 11a-2p

Wednesday: 9a-3p

Thursday: 11a-2p

Friday: off


 Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on client needs. Additionally, please be advised that we do not provide overnight support for clients. 

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • One year of DSP experience is required
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. as well as proof of completion.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Pass a criminal, drug, and background check.
  • Three references.
  • Own a smartphone.
  • Able to keep online records and communicate via email.
  • Have a valid Driver’s License 
  • Reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
  • DSP Certificate required
  • Have or be willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and other training as required per state of Maine or clients’ Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
  • Have or be willing to obtain up-to-date, CDC-recommended immunizations for healthcare workers including: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B and Seasonal Influenza.
