The job will be located at our production site in Iron County in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

We are seeking Gauger- Sidematcher Operator (SECOND SHIFT) to work in our Mill. The Gauger – Sidematcher Operator is responsible for the proper setup, operation and maintenance of the flooring matcher, maximize throughput while maintaining high quality.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Follow the instructions of Flooring Mill Manager.

2. Rotate to other jobs, as required.

3. Ability to maintain a satisfactory productivity level.

4. Follow safe practices in job performance.

5. Follow the 5S program to ensure areas are organized and cleaned.

6. Understand and support the ISO 9001/ISO 14001 Integrated Management System.

7. Follow the operational practices as defined by the Work Instructions for this job.

8. Regular, predictable attendance.

9. Ability to do the essential duties.

10. Ability to work cooperatively with fellow workers.

We seek the following:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2 years’ experience and/or working knowledge of matcher feeder operations.
• General knowledge of MFMA grading rules preferred
• Basic mechanical/machine repair, set-up and trouble-shooting knowledge
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Excel, Word, Outlook and Share Point
• Pervious experience with ERP systems
• Prior experience in an environment that promotes safety
