JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Procurement & Asset Management owns end-to-end oversight of procurement and physical asset management across Ironsite’s perimeter security installation and service operations, including crash-rated barriers, gates, overhead doors, fencing, and related systems. 

Reporting to the COO, this leader partners closely with Finance and Operations to eliminate leakage, reduce cost variability, improve asset utilization, and create repeatable, auditable processes suitable for a PE-backed platform. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Procurement & Cost Management

  •  Own enterprise-wide procurement strategy across materials, equipment, vehicles, subcontracted services, and consumables 
  • Establish purchasing governance, approval thresholds, and spend discipline 
  • Source, qualify, and manage critical vendors supporting mechanical, electronic, and security systems 
  • Negotiate pricing, rebates, warranties, service levels, and payment terms to reduce unit costs and price variance 
  • Create and manage preferred supplier programs aligned with government and high-security customer requirements 
  • Ensure vendor quality, compliance, and corrective actions 
  • Partner with Finance to tighten PO-to-invoice controls and eliminate billing leakage (Acumatica/Stampli)

Inventory, Warehousing & Working Capital

  • Standardize warehousing and inventory management practices across all locations 
  • Implement inventory accuracy, audit controls, and shrinkage prevention 
  • Define stocking strategies, forecasting, min/max levels, and replenishment logic 
  • Lead truck stock programs balancing field productivity with asset accountability 
  • Oversee inbound/outbound logistics, staging, and jobsite material flow 
  • Implement RMA and warranty recovery processes 
  • Optimize stock vs. order decisions to improve cash flow and service reliability 

 Fleet, Equipment & Mobile Assets

  • Lead fleet acquisition, utilization, and lifecycle planning 
  • Manage heavy equipment, trailers, and specialty tools 
  • Improve fleet uptime, preventive maintenance compliance, and cost transparency 
  • Oversee driver safety, incident management, and corrective action 
  • Ensure DOT compliance, inspections, licensing, and documentation 
  • Optimize total cost of ownership and asset disposition strategies 

Facilities & Fixed Assets

  • Own facilities strategy, operations, and compliance across all locations 
  • Lead space planning, relocations, expansions, and footprint optimization 
  • Control facility operating costs and capital expenditures 
  • Establish preventive maintenance programs for buildings and critical infrastructure 
  • Partner with leadership on long-term facilities planning aligned with growth strategy 

 Financial Impact & Reporting

  • Deliver measurable EBITDA improvement through:  
  • Procurement cost reduction and vendor consolidation 
  • Elimination of billing leakage and invoice discrepancies 
  • Reduction of inventory shrinkage and obsolescence 
  • Improved asset and fleet utilization 
  • Build KPI dashboards and reporting for spend, inventory turns, fleet cost, and asset performance 
  • Partner with Finance on working capital optimization, capitalization discipline, and audit readiness 

Leadership & Platform Build

  • Build, structure, and lead scalable procurement and asset management teams 
  • Develop SOPs, controls, and training to support growth and integration 
  • Act as a cross-functional leader with Operations, Safety, Finance, and Executive Leadership 
  • Support internal controls, audits, and compliance requirements typical in PE-backed environments 
  • Prepare systems and processes for future acquisitions and operational integration

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in procurement, supply chain, asset management, or operations 
  • Background in construction, industrial services, security systems, infrastructure, or government contracting preferred 
  • Proven experience managing:  
  • Large vehicle fleets (100+ units) 
  • Heavy equipment and trailers 
  • Multi-location warehousing and inventory 
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety, and fleet compliance 
  • Track record of cost reduction, margin improvement, and operational discipline 
  • ERP experience required; Acumatica and AP automation tools (e.g., Stampli) strongly preferred 
  • Experience operating in PE-backed, growth-oriented, or integration-heavy environments strongly preferred 
  • Ability to operate hands-on while building scalable, repeatable systems 

TRAVEL REQUIRED:

  •  Moderate travel to job sites, customer locations, warehouses, fabrication ares, and branch facilities as needed; travel up to 50% 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Primarily office-based with regular time in the field, warehouses, fabrication areas, and at customer locations 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs; Able to safely navigate active job sites with required PPE 
Salary Description
$140,000-$160,000 per year
